There’s a real sharpness to your prose here that perfectly mirrors the title. Each sentence feels like a small piece of a larger puzzle. I love how you lean into the discomfort of the 'cracks' rather than trying to smooth them over.

I really like your use of imagery; it draws the reader in. I did notice a few pronoun shifts that can be a little confusing at times. If you anchor them more clearly, maybe with a name or consistent focal point, the piece could become even more compelling.
